Sean McGuire CEO – E.D. Bellis
Sean McGuire developed a rare understanding of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and knowledge on other federal healthcare programs such as Medicare and Medicaid as a U.S. Senate Finance committee staff member where he began working on the federal healthcare laws over ten years ago.
After his time in Washington, McGuire helped guide the University of Nebraska and their senior leadership as they worked to anticipate and react to the ACA which had a large impact on both education and their clinical enterprise. It was then he realized healthcare providers and mid-sized businesses in private industry would struggle, and he founded E.D. Bellis, to provide healthcare consulting and risk management services.
Sean is also the host of America’s Healthcare Challenge a radio program and podcast covering the latest news and changes in healthcare. He has spoken to groups of all sizes about the impact of health reform, been interviewed by numerous media outlets, offered expert testimony at state legislatures, is a Past President of the Omaha Press Club, and is a graduate of Marquette University.
